School Accountability Committee

There have been many improvements here at GCS in the past year, from our more than ever colorful and inviting buildings, technology, revamped School Board and having our first ever PTO! The School Accountability Committee is another improvement for GCS. The S.A.C. is here to give recommendations on the school priorities for spending school moneys, preparation for the school’s performance, unified improvement plan (UIP), assisting the district on an advisory basis for the district budget, the parent engagement policy with the school and teachers and reviewing the renewal of the charter school application are a few of our responsibilities. We are a newly formed committee of parents, community members and the head of school and are dedicated to bringing the best recommendations to the district and department of education to the best of knowledge and research. I am looking forward to seeing what other improvements/upgrades will be made to our already amazing community school with this team of volunteers and employees. Check out the GCS web page for our agenda and scheduled meetings because, we value every stakeholders opinion and want to hear from you.
