Tyler Frazier

I was born and raised in Tampa, Florida. I studied journalism and athletic coaching at the University of Central Florida before attending Florida State University where I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in humanities with a specialization in communication and 20th Century Studies. After college, I worked for nine years in sports and talk radio in such roles as co-host, executive producer and digital content coordinator. During this time, I also covered professional and college sports as a journalist for a variety of newspapers and websites before becoming an assistant football coach at Tampa Catholic High School. I am very passionate about skiing and I have always wanted to live in the mountains, so I moved to Colorado in search of a new opportunity and couldn’t be happier with where I am.

Why did I choose Georgetown Community School?

As a new resident to Georgetown, I quickly fell in love with the school as well as the tightknit community. It has been an absolute privilege to work with so many amazing kids. GCS is a truly special place and I am proud to be a part of it.

If the Students could learn one thing, what would it be?

That there is a whole world out there waiting to be explored. Some of your favorite memories and experiences in life will come from outdoor adventures as opposed to saying inside.

When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up, and why?

A football player and professional wrestler. My obsession with sports started at a young age.
