BIO

A born and raised Texas girl, Colorado won my heart as soon as I moved here. I am lucky enough to have wonderful children, a beautiful granddaughter, and a very supportive and loving family. We own and operate a small restaurant in Georgetown, I enjoy volunteering with the rec center coaching sports, and love having a position with the school that allows me to find ways to enrich the kids experience at GCS.

Why did I choose Georgetown Community School?

Georgetown is the size of the community I grew up in, and I wanted that same experience for my child. The friends you make in a smaller school can last a life time.

If the Students could learn one thing, what would it be?

Life is not always what you think it should be. It's not about what happens to you, it is the choices you make, the attitude you have, and the actions you put into motion. You control your own destiny.

When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up, and why?

I always knew that I wanted to work with children. My major in college was in the field of Child Psychology. I was a preschool director when my first child was a toddler, and now 30 years later, I am back to working with kids.
