BIO

I’m a Colorado native with family still in Lakewood. I have a BA in French Language & Literature and a MA in teaching. This is my 6th year of teaching 4^th grade at GCS ad I am looking forward to another wonderful year! I love skiing, reading and the Broncos!

Why did I choose Georgetown Community School?

I loved the fact that the word ‘community’ was a part of the school’s name. From the beginning I felt that there was an incredible level of support in and for this school, which I had not experienced elsewhere.

If the students could learn one thing, what would it be?

The most important quality anyone can possess is kindness.

When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up, and why?

I always wanted to be a mom because you get to love others and take care of them. Unsurprisingly, I also have always wanted to be a teacher for many of the same reason. Helping others to shine in their strengths and accomplish more than they thought possible in their struggles is a wonderful part of teaching.
