BIO

I am the mother of two GCS students, Sage (7) and Arwen (4). I have lived in Clear Creek County with my family for six years. As an outdoor enthusiast, I enjoy hiking, snowboarding, camping, canoeing, and paddle boarding. When I’m not playing in the woods with my children and husband Neale, I also like to spend time knitting, sewing, and baking. From a professional standpoint, I earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing in 2006 from Plattsburgh State University of New York, and have been practicing nursing for over a decade. I currently work in the Emergency and Forensic Nursing departments at St. Anthony Summit Medical Center in Frisco.

Why did I choose Georgetown Community School?

Georgetown has drawn me in since my family’s arrival to Colorado - even before Sage started school, the strong sense of community and outdoorsy attitude was clear to me. GCS was an easy choice when enrollment time came, and I have never once regretted it!

If the Students could learn one thing, what would it be?

Rewards are usually a result of hard work.

When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up, and why?

I wanted to be a marine biologist, because I loved science, water, and animals.
